Purdue University
Established in 1869, Purdue University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the medium-sized town of West Lafayette (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Indiana. Officially accredited/recognized by the The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Purdue University (PU) is a very large (enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution.
The main campus in West Lafayette offers more than 200 majors for undergraduates, over 69 master’s and doctoral programs, and professional degrees in pharmacy and veterinary medicine. In addition, Purdue has 18 intercollegiate sports teams and more than 900 student organizations. Purdue is a member of the Big Ten Conference and enrolls the second largest student body of any university in Indiana, as well as the fourth largest international student population of any university in the United States.
Purdue University (PU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
PU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sport facilities and/or activities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
