India's Q4 GDP growth rate slows to 5.8%, falls behind China

India's GDP growth for the Jan-March (Q4) quarter slowed to 5.8% from 6.6% in the previous (Oct-Dec) quarter. This is the slowest GDP growth rate in 5 years, as a chill in domestic and global consumer demand hit manufacturers and service providers. India has lost its spot as the fastest growing major economy to China which notched a 6.4% growth in the March quarter.
