The case of Pakistan-based groups allegedly dropping consignments of weapons by drones in Punjab’s border areas was originally registered with the Punjab Police but has now been handed over to the NIA on Home Ministry's order. As per sources, an NIA team reached Amritsar on Thursday. Last month, police recovered AK-47 rifles, satellite phones and hand grenades.
