Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday following a bilateral meeting said that the two countries will work towards further strengthening their ties in the field of technology, business and trade. Merkel, on the other hand, suggested a teacher exchange programme to further augment the 20,000 Indian nationals studying in Germany.​
