Declare polls for 9 Council seats: Maha gov to EC
Days after the Maharashtra cabinet recommended to him proposing CM Uddhav Thackeray's appointment to the Legislative Council, governor BS Koshyari on Thursday requested the EC to declare polls for 9 vacant seats of the Upper House of the state Legislature. A statement from Raj Bhavan said that Koshyari requested the EC to declare elections "at the earliest".
