During British & Nizam era, lockdown was paid holiday
Lockdowns may have helped in the containment of Covid-19 across the world, but not many know that a similar exercise was carried out in the princely state of Hyderabad and parts of British India to prevent the spread of infectious diseases like cholera and plague in the 19th and the early 20th centuries.
