Separated for more than three months because of the sudden lockdown announced in late March, a 38-year-old woman was eager to be back with her husband and their 10-year-old son in Bengaluru. But what greeted the woman on arrival from Chandigarh last week was her husband’s insistence that she must quarantine herself elsewhere for 14 days and get a Covid-negative certificate before she could return to the house.
