Equity indices started Samvat 2078 on a positive note on Thursday with both the sensex and Nifty registering gains across all sectors.The 30-share BSE sensex jumped 296 points or 0.49 per cent to close at 60,068; while the broader NSE Nifty rose 88 points or 0.49 per cent to settle at 17,917.
