Senior advocate Deepinder Singh Patwalia has been appointed as the new advocate general of Punjab. Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi had accepted the resignation of the former advocate general APS Deol, after yielding to the pressure mounted by the state Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu for replacing the state's AG.
