The 2021 Census and related field activities have been postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak. MoS Home Nityanand Rai stated this in a written reply to a question in Parliament. The minister's reply said that the government had informed of its intent to carry out the Census in the Gazette of India dated March 28, 2019.
