The IITs have had an overwhelming placement season. It has been the best hiring season ever. Most of them witnessed historic highs in terms of the number of offers and the average pay scale. Almost 1,400 students from IIT-Bombay secured a job — an all-time high record — in the first phase of campus placements, which concluded on December 18.
