Udaipur: An incident depicting both empathy and insensitivity was witnessed on Thursday in Udaipur’s Maharana Bhupal Hospital where a man had to bring his elderly ailing mother in a vegetable Crate for treatment. Affection for his mother and with no money to pay for a rickshaw, the son carried his mother all the way to the hospital in the vegetable crate from the bus stand. The Video of the man went viral when one of the bystanders noticed this and recorded his plight. His ordeal worsened when none of the hospital staff came forward to take her inside on a wheelchair. He himself went and brought the wheelchair and carried his mother inside the hospital for treatment. The man had brought his mother from Chittorgarh in the bus and had no money to pay for the rickshaw. Many times the staff of the hospital, for providing the wheel chair and stretcher facility demand money from the patients The insensitivity of the Hospital staff has been brought to the notice of the administration several times by the attendants of the patients.
