These butterflies fly 25 km non-stop from Tamil Nadu to Sri Lanka

Visitors to Tamil Nadu’s Dhanushkodi beach were treated by an unexpected sight a few days ago. Thousands of crimson rose butterflies swarmed the crown flower (erukkam poo in Tamil) for the nectar in them. These butterflies gave the blue Dhanushkodi a red tinge thanks to their colourful wings.
