Two more successful tests of the Army’s version of the medium range surface-to-air missiles (MRSAMs), developed jointly with Israel to destroy hostile aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and drones at a range of 70-km, were conducted on Wednesday. In the two tests from the Chandipur integrated test range off the Odisha coast, the DRDO said the next-generation MRSAM achieved direct hits against high-speed aerial targets to complete the weapon system’s developmental trials.
