The Congress is facing rebellion while replacing Ashok Gehlot as the Rajasthan chief minister. The change of guard in Punjab last year, coincidentally in September itself, was also not without internal rumblings. In contrast, the BJP has replaced as many as six CMs in five states in less than two years and all such transitions have been peaceful and smooth. In fact, the BJP CMs who were removed felt “humbled” and thanked the party leadership for giving them an opportunity to serve the organisation and their respective states.
