The rules define online games accessible through intermediaries and prohibit wagering and betting on any games. The regulations include appointing multiple self-regulatory organizations responsible for declaring online games permissible and mandatory KYC verification of real-money game players. The IT Ministry will also notify agencies to fact-check false and misleading information related to government business.
