How covert ties with Taliban backfired for Pakistan
Pakistan's relationship with the Taliban has soured since they seized power in Afghanistan. As a result, terrorist attacks by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan have risen and some Taliban commanders are establishing links with Pakistan's archrival, India. This instability adds to ongoing economic and political crises in Pakistan where inflation is raging, the country edges closer to default, and a crackdown is administered against former premier Imran Khan's political party.
