Nitin Desai, the art director and production designer who died by suicide earlier this month, would have celebrated his 58th birthday on August 6. To commemorate this occasion, friends celebrated his first birth anniversary at the ND Studios with a small puja. It is reported that Desai celebrated most of his birthdays at his studio, and last year threw a big bash for his close associates. Desai was known for his prolific work on several Bollywood films including 'Devdas', 'Lagaan', 'Munnabhai MBBS', 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai', 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Khamoshi: The Musical', and 'Panipat'.
