Guj polls: 'Giving tickets to women is against Islam'
The imam of Ahmedabad’s Jama Masjid, Mufti Shabbir Ahmed Siddiqui, stirred up a hornet’s nest once again on Sunday by saying that the Islam does not permit women’s participation in politics and by asking if there are not enough Muslim men left that tickets are given to women.
